You need to provide a to scale drawing of your space , use graph paper , it makes it easier to do scaled . Show every window, doorways where those lead . Every measurement clearly marked and if you already have the appliances share those sizes. Post that drawing here in jpeg format in a comment in this post and now all things related to that space are dealt with here in comments . BTW symmentry is overrated good design is what is a must

One answer could be a prep sink in the island. You really need to show the kitchen for people to give you suggestions. Here is my kitchen. Island is 9ft. Cleanup sink is under a window. Range is centered and there is prep sink in the island. I would not want a cleanup sink in the island. We do a majority of our prepping on the island. Things come out of the fridge and right on to the island for prepping.
