kitchen remodel

last month

We are remodeling our kitchen with new cabinets and quartz countertops. The cabinets are Benjamin Moore Revere pewter and the countertops are white with grays, beige colors throughout. The floor is honey oak color which we are keeping. I’m struggling with wall colors. Not sure if I want a color or keep it neutral ands do colors in rugs and pictures, etc. Any suggestions??

BM Revere Pewter cabinets in a well lit kitchen?

at least you haven't chosen a more gray tone. Are you playing it safe, or is that the color scheme you favor? Is the room a great room, open to the dining area and living?

Here are some coordinating paint color options suitable for BM Revere Pewter.

Thanks. It’s an open kitchen/dining area with a big arched opening to the living room. I did look at these colors. Thanks for your comment.

Looks good. I will probably go with a neutral color.

Install everything, including your new lighting if it’s part of the plan. THEN pick a wall color. Neutral is always good with Revere Pewter. Your new lighting might make the difference between one ivory and another.

Test in your own space. When Revere Pewter was hot/trending around 15 years ago, I sampled it on my dining room walls. It looked like battleship gray!

If I paint the walls white dove which is a little lighter than the revere pewter could I do a whiter color for the trim, like chantilly lace, or should the walls and trim be the same? I’m not a decorator and struggle with colors.

With white dove walls I’d recommend matching the trim to the walls - just change the sheen level.

What if I did the Revere Pewter for the trim and doors in the kitchen?

Here is a photo of Revere trim with white walls.

The bigger issue is the "honey oak" with the Revere cabinetry. : )

Can we see the actual kitchen (surrounding areas as well ) getting the cabinet and counter top change? And the top you chose?

In other words, add more context to your question - nothing lives in isolation and certainly not a kitchen.

Seeing how the dining area connects to the kitchen would be helpful. Are you prepared to paint the dining room as well?

Yes. The kitchen is ushape and countertop bar separates it.

    Here it is

Just leave the Revere Pewter to the cabinets. As for the white for the walls/trim - it would be best to post a photo of your white option(s) with your countertop material. That relationship is key.

White Dove for walls and chantilly Lace for trim?

Sorry but you will need to get an actual sample of white dove and bring it to the countertop slab and or sample you have of the countertop. Or, if you can wait on paint selection until after the counters are in then that is even better. I think matching the trim to the walls is a better look for you but hard to say u til you know the perfect white with your countertops.
