some new night shots at the bird bath

we've had a changing of the guard. the bulk of the robins have moved. i'm down to my 15-20 regulars. picked a few more bluebirds. hummingbirds have gone south. black cap chickadees & titmice are back for the winter.

I haven't seen a bird in the bird baths for a couple of weeks. I hear birds now and then but I'm not seeing them much. I seem to have changed my plantings to the point that I don't have a lot of seeds for them this time of year. Mostly because of the rabbits that seem to eat the best perennials for birds.

another group just arrived. i had over 100 robins in my yard this morning. refilled the bird bath 4 times. the usual suspect are still around. mockingbirds, cardinals, bluejays, Carolina & house wrens, woodpeckers ( types ), flickers, bluebirds, titmice, condors, brown trashers, black capped chickadees, & probably a few others. also those awful starlings and house sparrows.

i did spot a mob of black & white pelicans flying over about 10 days ago and an occasional flock of geese.

You are in the right spot Rober!! It sounds like you are having a blast...lol!

my grandson is helping me replace some fence post & a red shouldered hawk landed on the fence about 10ft from us. it looked over & noticed us & had an oh cr*p moment & flew off.
