I'm a lover of tortoise shell, but man, they are not translating into those shoes.

I had a black phase in the 80s and have never left it. My hair was red/purple though, and that has gone to the wayside.

I'm not always into tortoise shell, probably just not the right color palette for me. But I really like those shoes.

I like the tortoise shoes better than the black patent - too, too shiny. But I wonder how shiny the torts are IRL? Not a big fan of patent leather (or non-leather) - as it tends to be very stiff.

And that shirt does remind me of bleach spotting 😄

I like tortoise shell for hard things where it would be used traditionally - like eyeglass frames, jewelry, and other accessories.

The bottom loafers are actually dark bottle green.

Weejuns makes bottle green plain leather loafers but not sold in America...

Shoes work for me, but the shirts doesn't translate. Doesn't look like bleach on black because that turns orange - but I think paint or dye messes - it doesn't really look intentional. Regardless, I agree that tortoise shell works best on hard surfaces.

Oh I can see the green now - and like that much better than the tortoise shell. But still, patent...?
