Window treatments for casement windows

last month

We have casement windows in our new home. Have attached a pic from a guest bedroom that shows a fixed middle window, and the two outer windows have the crank that opens up the window to let in the breeze.

Struggling with how to handle window treatments. We have no neighbors - we back up into a conservation easement so no one to see inside the house, other than us/other guests who may be walking/working outside the house. Guests will want something to give some privacy and ability to block the sun for sleeping in - the windows face East. But, also want to allow for a treatment that allows the breeze to come through if the windows are open.

Curtains with blackout lining would be nice for late sleepers. And I like the idea of more fabric in the room. But I don’t know if they would allow any breeze from open windows to come in - probably not.

Blinds could be opened to allow some breeze in, and when closed could shield from morning sun and give privacy; but wouldn’t block as much as a blackout curtain.

Leaning towards 2 panel curtains that meet in the middle of the fixed window and guests either have a breeze, or privacy/blackout from the sun but not both.

Am I missing a different way to go about this?

Thanks in advance.
