What do the architect's plans show for lighting?

WOW taht view is amazing. Just some really simple comfy seating where I see the chairs and as for lighting add what is needed over time . Of cours all LED to keep it from sucking too much energy I love 4000K to keep the night close to bright daylight and simple fictures that light the space not the ceiling.

If you can sketch a diagram of the space, that would be helpful -- I can't see the kitchen in any but the first photo, for example, so no idea how the parts of the house connect.

In general, with so much glass, you should plan to float your furniture -- for example, place a couch facing the view, far enough back that there is room for a coffee table in front of it and maybe a couple of low chairs facing back toward it from the outer edges in case you have people over to chat (or keep a couple of folding chairs under the couch for those occasions. Anchor with a rug, if desired, and maybe a floor lamp for reading. If you set this up toward one side of the house, then there's space for the other side to have a small table with a couple of chairs for eating at. I'm not sure where the desk should go -- again, a floor plan would make a huge difference!

For lighting, I assume the metal roof panels are desired to remain exposed. I don't know how you've already detailed the peninsula pendant at the roof (support, jbox, cabling). And it doesn't look like there are wall/floor receptacles for lamps. But, having raceway/conduit and individual fixtures placed in the ceiling plane, running along rafters or across them might distract too much from the simple space and incredible view. And, your furniture will be somewhat flexible, so because of that and the small size of the space a general ambient light might be good.

So I would probably use recessed lighting, probably 2" or 3" gimbals (don't know ceiling heights), placed in "beams." To create a beam, sister another rafter with a gap and box the bottom gap, on every rafter, with the recessed lights in the width. The layout can be a grid, or placed strategically depending on floor plan and furnishings. The heft of this faux "beam" (maybe 6" wide) will fit better proportionally to the space, the lights will disolve into the background if they are in the color family of the wood, and the cabling (including what is already draped around here and there) can be hidden. If budget allows there are linear/square/rectangle trims or trimless as well.

Then, a floor outlet or two for a floor lamp (depending on furniture layout and style).

I considered other options like uplighting the white ceiling, but the purlins will create too many shadows. Track, downlights, wall mount arms, sconces, LED strips, coves, etc all seem like they would compete with the simplicity or overpower the space.

If you tire of the rain noise on the metal roof and decide to box in the underside of ceiling, then that opens you up to other placements.
