Loved her oniony cranberry sauce, she usually gave the recipe around Thanksgiving . She was a true journalist, honest, objective, intelligent. Such a contrast to so many of the clowns now just "reading" headlines in a dress more suited to a cocktail bar.

Another one who was so saddened to hear of her death. For years and years, she WAS NPR to me.

Can't say I've ever heard of her but had to look up the recipe. Has anyone actually tried it?

Lots of folks raved about that relish recipe, but it sounded to me like something I wouldn't care for.

I loved listening to her. It often felt like eavesdropping on a private conversation because her interview style was so smooth and flowing. She was a trailblazer and will be missed but what a life well lived <3

I’m truly sad to hear of this; she was one of a kind. I feel like I’ve spent hours and hours in her company. Her cranberry relish is dee-lish on pulled pork, pork chops, turkey, cold roast beef sandwiches. I can’t remember when I first tried it, probably thirty years.
