A beveled edge on a floor will trap small debris which will be hard to pick up unless you vacuum. For me, I would use the straight edge.

I’d pick a darker color, especially with the dark gray cabinets. And yes to no bevel.

Here's an example of a beautiful kitchen with medium brown wood floors and gray cabinets. The wood grounds the room and provides warmth to the cool gray.

Also agree that you should purchase the "no bevel" version. The top one in the second photo looks too pink and the bottom one looks too yellow. I would listen to Diana - look at some darker versions (not super dark - just more of a medium color instead of light).

As someone who has LVP, I disagree. The bevels are one more way for the floors to look like wood. After 6 years I’m not noticing extra dirt.

Darker floors show the dust. I could agree to maybe go a bit darker but I would err on the lighter or medium range.

Microbevels exist to be able to smooth over very minor subfloor irregularities, so you don't have lippage and issues. To use a non beveled plank, the prep to get the subfloor to perfectly flat is going to be much more costly than the laying of the plank. Level is desired, flat is required.

And that’s the exact reason I don’t have engineered wood in my house.

Engineered planks are available unfinished. they can be finished just like solid, if you want no micro-bevels.
