i wonder about Swiss Coffee from Ben Moore - if there’s a way to get a bit more light, that would help as well

Another vote for a warm white: SW Alabaster, BM Simply White, White Dove or Swiss Coffee. IMO the carpeting is bringing the space down as well.

I'd recommend a white paint but I'd add picture ledges in white to hold your personal framed picture. Your gallery wall is too week a statement for the hallway.

One of the whites that others have listed below. Paint your ceiling the same color as your walls. Having the hallway and living room the same color will make your home feel bigger, less choppy. Add lighting to brighten your hallway. If you don't have the money to spend on adding additional junction boxes, then add a fixture with arms and multiple spot like lights to the junction box you do have. Be sure to add LED bulbs.

Cozy rustic can be achieved with lighter walls and given the dark wood and carpeting, it will make it feel actually more inviting.

Lighting will also make a big difference and if changing or adding more, do before testing paint colors.

Rooms that connect will benefit from being the same color and test in them also.

Before painting, suggest repairing the holes and rethinking collage. If interested, look on line for help and ideas, including how to place.

Great feedback, thank you. To be honest I shy away from the ”whites” as I find it blah/boring…I also don't think of it as cozy. But I’m on here because I am bad at this and will sample some of the suggestions. We have funds to definitevly do new lighting- could do carpet but it is all the samr as the living room around the corner. BTW- That ”main entry” is not used as such.

I looked at the KM video and like Edgecomb Gray or Camoflage.

You don't show the Living Room but if it's the same carpet and wood the warm gray is a nice contrast in tone.

So you have a MCM house by the looks of the front door side panel but you love country so you messed with the front door and made it look silly. IMO those hall doors should be painted to match whatever wall color you choose , they are not a thing to accent and for sure not in what style you are going for. Please replace the sidelight with one that is the same style as the door and then choose a wall color you love and do the rest of the doors in that same color but in a satin finish. That carpet really needs to go but that is for another day. The doors and trim all the same as the walls except for the front door The gallery wall needs huge work BTW and those little shelves are a bit odd . Can we see your LR that would be ahuge help since I see no cozy country in those pics.
