My sangria was:

1 bottle of wine (I used Sauvignon Blanc, but anything dry will work.)

2 cups of fresh apple cider

1 cup of apple brandy

Chopped apples, orange slices, fresh cranberries

Combine ingredients and chill overnight.

To serve:

Ice (I wouldn’t add to the pitcher, so it doesn’t get diluted.)

Ginger ale or club soda. We added to our glasses individually. If I was going to add to the pitcher, I’d use 12 ounces.

I have used a recipe similar to the above-- though mine had apples and pears added vs oranges and cranberries.

I made that last year based on your recommendation and it was absolutely delicious! I used the idea to make an apple rum cocktail with non alcoholic rum and it too was extra delish. I added a little boiled apple cider to both drinks, it’s a secret weapon of iingredients!

@Sherry8aNorthAL Thank you so much! I’m trying to plan my Thanksgiving menu and remembered that we all liked the sangria but couldn’t remember how I’d made it. We’ll drink a toast to you this Thanksgiving!

@Kswl, I’m curious. Why boil the cider? Is it to concentrate the flavor? By how much do you reduce it or do you just bring it to a boil?
