Last week we had to have our 18 year old cat Emily euthanized (old age diseases & she was really struggling, and NOT happy). I had decided, and told everyone loudly, that we were NOT going to get any more cats. HA! By a few hours after we got home from saying goodby to Emily at the vets, I had been overwhelmed by "kitty lust"! I went on the internet searching for shelters which had kittens, to no avail locally, until I tried AI, and it immediately found me a PetSmart store about an hour away which had a built in cat Adoption center inside the store, which was open whenever the store was, 7 days a week. No idea they did that.

Since it was Fall, of course all 5 if the kittens they had were 5+ months old, but I did not care. They had one employee who was in charge of the Adoption center, and she let me pick all of them up. I still have scratches on one arm from doing that, but I finally found one of them who, when picked up, immediately started purring, rubbing her head on me, and kneading her front feet on me. We took her home, and she is a total love-bug. So happy now. Here is a pic I took of her yesterday - she looks like an adult, but feels and acts like a kitten.
