15" or 15'?

Sorry, I just fixed it. 15 feet.

Just off the top of my head, I thought Blue Moon - and there IS a climbing version. But, there again, the climber is not a particularly old rose and also you say your rose is 'classic pink'. On my screen, it looks more lavender than pink, which is what brought Blue Moon to mind, along with the fact you say it's very fragrant. I'm no expert, but it looks quite modern/ like a hybrid tea shaped flower to me.

I see in the description there were separate discoveries of the climber in Australia and the US, so one possibility might be that yours could have been an older (unreported) sport arising from an non-climber, which could help date it a bit earlier. (I hope what I'm saying is making some sort of sense! I'm sorry, I'm a little groggy today..)

Blue Moon is a hybrid tea. This is very cold hardy (zone 4) so it can't be that. Sorry about the pictures. They are a true baby pink.

I thought it had a HT form, too, and was also wondering about the strong fragrance. I don't know much about true cold-climate roses, but would think that that this rose would climb in Zone 4 would narrow the field of possibilities quite a lot.

I wonder, is there any way to ask rose society members in the Adirondacks area? Someone somewhere must know. It really looks and sounds like a keeper!

No clue, but if you ever do find out (from Adirondacks rose society members?), I hope you post it here. Would the Syracuse Rose Society be nearby?
