Looks like 8' is enough to split for a 5' Powder Room. Shown is just the easiest way to accomplish the goal without any other context.

Very hard to read, and blurs on a blow up. Perhaps do small section each side after a print scan, file as a jepeg, ?

IMO a 1/2 bath is usually a powder room so on the main floor makes more sense to me I do not love guests wandering around my bedroom level . I do see a use for a 1/2 bath on the upper floor o maybe I am missing something.

Its the main level. i mistakenly said upper because this level is above the basement. sorry to mislead.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting - OP's referral to "upper level" confused me also before I looked at the plan. I think that maybe it's a reverse 1 1/2 story. There's a kitchen/dining room/Iiving room/study on this floor.

@3onthetree I like it. i dont like moving the closet. but i do think your solution is pretty much the best way…probably move the closet to the corner is less work too. thanks for the input.

I'd keep the bathroom with a tub or shower because your study could become a bedroom for a future occupant. You could make the bathroom smaller with just one entrance off the hall.

Then remove the closet by the doorway in the master bedroom and add space to your walk in closet.
