If it runs ACROSS cabinetry at the ceiling? Forget creativity and do the soffit it needs. The answer isn't Christmas Lights, that's for sure: )

It sounds like creating a chase (if the pipes are vertical) or a soffit (if the pipes are horizontal) is the best solution.
