I have an Exerpeutic upright exercise bike, it is comfortable to ride and it can be folded to take up less space.

Good tip. I have a recumbent trike for riding outside -- it is fun to ride! Didn't think of that in terms of a stationary bike.

Perhaps Lonejack was referring to bicycler trainers, that turn a real bicycle into an indoor bike.

I have a regular bicycle that you put on rollers to ride indoors. Like Lucille mentioned. Takes a LOT of balancing, it's hard. Then I have a Spirit exercycle, but I actually use the Precore recumbent at the gym.

We use a Concept II Bike Erg. It's great, just like riding a regular bike.

Thanks for the recs. I ended up buying an Alpcour stand for my regular (non-recumbant) bike that turns it into a stationary bike. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something for indoors because I'd rather be outdoors, so I thought I'd try this option for $150 and see how it goes. We'll see...
