I think wood would be a nice contrast to the hard tile floor and glossy cab surfaces, it usually does a nice job bringing in some warmth - but pics would help

What is "wood colored" They either are wood or are not: ) Unless you want laminate mimics.

You have to wait for pictures to fully clarify, and lose the grayed out effect, BEFORE you hit submit

Not fake wood that makes no sense . I like butcherblock counters and have them in my new very contemporary home and in the red high gloss and stainless in another home both are great and add some softness to balance out the other items I think. But fake wood laminate IMO is not the way to go

I am sorry but how can we know. I feel your pain for sure and apologize. In my defence we seem to be getting a huge number of OPs who just disappear . I wish you all good things in this new journey you are on .
