Could the doors as well as the space above all be panelized for a very clean and sleek look?

Do you mean the actual fridge doors? I don't think so

Additional photos would be helpful - one from further back of the refrigerator wall straight on and a couple of the entire kitchen.

Will the refrigerator have cabinetry panels or is that a white refrigerator surrounded by blue cabinetry?

I would not call attention to that small rectangular area by adding a third color (wood). Have you considered a blue panel with hinges so you can use the space above the refrigerator to store things?

Why would you call more attention to the very thing/ the empty hole, you are attempting to "disappear"? " via a wood trim on blue?

A pair of stainless fridge/freeze might have been the best choice, as well : )

Unless you show the new space in entirety, I can think of NO reason to highlight .

Would have loved new fridges but blew the budget on the glass doors and a new cooker😀 there are cupboards above the open space, I wanted a temp solution until I am able to replace the fridges

Blue panel flush with the upper cabinet. No need to highlight the open space, particularly if you are eventually going to replace the fridges.

Suggest adding a wood shelf stained the same as the wood panel and paint the wall the cabinet color, which will eliminate the stark contrast/feel more seamless. Add some lovely clay pottery.

Honestly I would pay to get a new cabinet above the fridge tust fits the space and fills it. You are redoing this space and it looks lovely but the fridge and cabinet are an eyesore.

Just painting the back wall the same color blue as the cabinets will help a lot IMO. Then I'd install a removable shelf over the fridge painted the same blue as the cabinets (or use a wood shelf.) Then put a storage basket (or a couple) there.

Okay thinking I might go with this and then also put a plant or basket on the space. Not mounted yet, but you get the idea😁

That looks fine. But I would definitely paint the back wall the cabinet color before installing.

Temporary is paint the wall the same as th caibinets and add acouple of nice things up there done
