help finding flush ceiling lights that AREN'T LED integrated

last month

Hi All,

I'm getting very frustrated and need some help. I'm beginning to look for light fixtures for a new build and thought I'd begin with what I thought should be a simple task. I need some simple, non-fussy, flush mount ceiling lights for a small hallway (9x4), a 7x7 walk in pantry, a 12x11 laundry/mud room, and a 12x11 master walk in closet. Although I like the sleek look of the ones with integrated LED, I absolutely do not want to buy those, since I don't want to replace the entire fixture once it dies. I want fixtures that use regular LED bulbs that I can change out.

The vast majority of flush mount ceiling lights have integrated LED's. The vast majority of the ones that do not are the old fashioned boob lights, although some don't have the "nipple."

To complicate matters (for me anyway), I read that the size of the fixture should roughly be the sum of the length plus width of the room, but in inches. So for the laundry room and walk in closet, I should look for fixtures that are around 23" wide. I can't find anything simple in those sizes. The larger lights, the ones that are maybe 16" round, take 3 light bulbs. I'm thinking that 3 bulbs that are up to 75 watts each should be bright enough? But even then, it's still the boob style :(

Any help, advice, and guidance would be much appreciated! Thank you.
