Thanks for the info. So many hybridizers are moving towards later years. Mike has contributed a lot to the stock of northern-hardy plants. His Vision Seeker should have been an award winner by this time, but a lot of northern plants are not widely grown farther south. And alas, a lot of northerners keep turning to southern faces that don't thrive. I hope that Mike's health improves.

Thanks for the update on Mike. We often buy from him. His genetics have gone into some of our favorite intros. I hope his health is on the upswing.

I wish Mr. Derrow all the best in his recovery. I became interested in him as soon as I saw that he was using Mary's Baby in his hybridizing program. Debra's much coveted (by me) Star Lord is one of Mikes. I've seen the steep decline in the rose industry over the years, and hate to see it happen with daylilies.........
