I would think about replacing the curtains.

I like the curtains - for a guest room, I like light, bright and welcoming so would look for something like that - would need to make sure the undertones don’t fight the rug (hard to tell from the pics how “cool” the rug is in person) fwiw I almost always love BM navajo white

A rich brown might look nice, just be sure to spread some yellow accents around the room. And as mentioned above, be mindful of the undertones.

If your rug is gray, you could try a yellow and pale blue/gray color scheme. If your room doesn't have a lot of natural light be careful that the gray isn't too gloomy,

I like the drapes, and I would pick one of the whiter colors from them for the room, and then add the gold color from the drapes into your bedding, and accessories. Your rug looks beige to me, so make sure you pick a white that goes with the rug too. A creamy white, would be what I would look for.

I needa close up of the drapes with the rug and usually I use the bedding to drive the wall color and the drapes so et us see the whole room please . On my monitor the drpaes are warm and the rug looks more gray not usually an easy mix

Here’s more of a close up picture. The room is currently empty. The draperies were custom made for a different home and chose to use them in my new home so unfortunately I’m decorating around them. I do love the rich brown or the medium cream options. I really appreciate everyone’s suggestions, I’m pulling my hair out over this but I think I’m finally getting into

… paint colors that are more complimentary and pleasing to my eye.

You might consider a shade that matches the cream in the drapes. Seems that would also work with the carpet.

The drapes are quite nice but what is the bedding going to be since the drapes are the star maybe Maureens ideas would be awesome but for me the wall color the same as the drape background would probably be best .
