please help with bathroom design !

last month

Please help a first timer. I am having a nightmare trying to figure out light fixtures. We bought a condo with a small primary bathroom and I want to update it to look more feminine. I wanted to put in gold accents and change the bar light to vanity sconces. The problem is now all measurements. My fiance said that from the counter to where the bar is now is about 40 " I found some sconces that measure 13" in height and 23" in length (the vanity is 30" accross). I assume the electrical box is right under the overhead old lights . I have researched over and over again and it seems that all suggestions say don't hang sconces over the mirror, and put the mirror about 5' above the vanity sink. I can't even imagine then how I am supposed to find sconces that small and a mirror that small to fit into this space? I am trying to do all this before the painter goes in and takes off the current lights and mirror. I am going for a more feminine romantic look in the primary with later on, changing the vanity and fixtures but this mirror and sconces things is first to figure out. Any ideas? I am attaching the old bathroom pics. The sonces I would like are attached and that look, I have no mirror suggestions to show as I can't figure out what mirror to put in that space. I have found 9" sconces (H) but the issues is that overhead is the ONLY source of lighting in that bathroom. Thanks so much!
