Winter wasn't decent. My in ground figs didn't freeze,

Violette de Bordeaux and Black Mission poping breba figs. Lattarola Dalmatie are just waking up, ground.

The container culture are out, and some driveway. They opening. The ones in tent are well a head of off the one in driveway.

I will post a few photos next time.

Hi Anna, yes it is warming up a nice change .I was shuffling the 3 plants in and out of garage then put them in yard .They have small leaves that are out but not to risk them as it is going to be 34 sat and 30 sun for the nightly lows and will bring them into garage.

Hopefully that will be the last frost .

Well figs started to show end of may albeit tiny tiny .

Now the plants have many seems this year will be very good for production if the weather holds out at the end of fig season here.

Hello Martin, well it's August and we are about a month before late ripening figs start swelling.

Early main crop variety Celeste and Florea started ripening a few days ago. Noticed yesterday that Godfathers fig is swelling too, I am not sure if you are familiar with this one, taste and it's shape remind me of Osborne Prolific.

Late variety like Black Madeira type look like they are in the last period before they start swelling.

Violette de Bordeaux type also trying to hurry up.

Hardy Chicago is very close too.

How is it going your patio ?

Hi Anna , the 3 plants i have are doing ok they are from March 2021 . We seen a lot of rain so much that many of the figs started to turn white and either shrivel or fall off to the touch. Still have fair share for 1 person though if they hang on and ripen some are just starting now.
