Since no one else has chimed in, I'll give a few thoughts. The small triangular bibs are drool bibs used over clothes in attempts to keep them dry while teething. A lot of parents keep them on all day if their kids clothes get really wet. The silicon bibs are nice when the babies start feeding themselves at 6 months. My DD liked and used the larger bibs as the kids got older that were made out of towels and covered them more.

A bib called the Babron are popular. They are a cross between and bib and apron, not sure if you could find one of those personalised or not. DD has a few purchased and some I made.

There are many choices, Whatever you get will be fine, I'm sure.

I made the bibs with the hole in the middle of a hand towel for my kids so I got some for my grand daughter. I loved how they covered ALL the babies clothes!! My granddaughter most often uses the silicone type with the tray for catching food. She is now 18mos ad still using it. They let kids feed themselves these days, so much sooner than we did, and messy is part of the process I am told. I have no expectation the hand towels willl appear at this point. Yes to the triangle being for drool and my granddaughter had one from tiny until walking....so those would be much appreciated I would think. Just an aside. My daughter in law requested a "busy blanket" that worked like the hand towel bibs, only large enough for her to wear when holding baby. It's my goal for when #2 arrives this spring.

I give a bunch as baby gifts. I like the ones at Hobby Lobby. Super cute if you need them right away!
