Identifying a light fixture

last month
last modified: last month

Hi everyone — I’m hoping for help identifying a light fixture on the wall near the backdoor in my home.

• Home was built in 1954. I am not sure if the light was installed at that time or later.

• Location: Southern California (Los Angeles County)

• Fixture is still installed; no visible maker’s marks

• Material appears to be metal (possibly brass) with aged patina

I’m trying to learn what era this light might be from and whether it could be original to the house or a later replacement. Even educated guesses or general style insights would be incredibly helpful.

I’m not looking to sell it — just hoping to understand it better so I can restore and respect the home. In an ideal world I could find a match for my front door entry!

Thank you so much for any insight you’re willing to share.

It’s about 18.5 inches tall.
