Are you asking for help designing/laying out a new Kitchen, Dining Room, and Living Room?

If so, please provide more information including:

    • A fully-measured layout of all the spaces under consideration (i.e., Kitchen, Dining Room, & Living Room). Be sure all measurements are clearly labeled, the text is dark, and the layout is big enough to read. See a sample layout below.
    • Answers to some questions (see the link below)

Details on the above are contained in the "New to Kitchens? Read Me First!" thread. In particular, see the Featured Answer.

Since the majority of the posters are in the USA, English labels are preferred - both in language and measurements (feet/inches vs metric)

    In addition:

    • Is this a new build or a remodel of an existing space?
    • What are rooms 1, 2, 3?
    • I assume room 7 is a full bathroom and rooms 9, 10, & 11 are bedrooms.
Is room 8 a Laundry Room?

Just got translations from Croatian using Google Translate:

    • "uređenje interijera" translates to "interior design"
    • Rooms 1 & 2 are "corridors" or halls. There seems to be a lot of wasted space on halls, especially for such a small apartment/house.
    • Room 3 is a "Pantry"
    • Room 7 is a bathroom
    • Room 8 - unable to translate (when I tried, it gave me "hammer")
    • Rooms 9, 10, & 11 are bedrooms.

Random thoughts about upgrading the house, which may or may not be of any use because we don't have solid information here:

    - Add a front door.

    - Add a window to the side of the living room. Every room looks /feels better with natural light from two sides.

    - Move the range /cooktop to the right side wall, as the island isn't large enough to accommodate it.

    - I love a large pantry, but move the door so it opens into the kitchen work aisle /not into the island. A pocket door would work well here.

    - Bathroom 7 -- move the sink /vanity and toilet to the bottom wall /the same wall. This will allow all three water-items to be placed in the same wall. Saves money /minimizes spaces where leaks can occur.

    - Space 8, I'm pretty sure, is what we Americans would call a Utility Room or a Mechanical Room. It'll contain the hot water heater and so forth. For such a small house, this is a lot of space devoted to the Utility Room.

    - Space 2 is a hallway? In such a small house, this huge hallway doesn't make sense.

    - No closets in any of the bedrooms?

    - Space 1 is laundry? And that big X is the washer/dryer space? Ideally a washer /dryer is placed on the exterior wall -- dryers need to vent to the outside. Placing the dryer on an exterior wall is both cheaper and more fire-safe. This would also be a good spot for a pocket door.
