You will use the hot tub more if it is under a roof.

I like a hot tub close to the MBR so where is thta in the plan? I do agree not visible from inside . We have had both with a roof and without and I have to say Liked the one without so we could see the stars while using the tub.

Absolutely agree with Patricia. We too have had both under roof and out in the open hot tubs. Much prefer to see the stars and have the snow or light rain fall on my head. Hot tubs are OUTSIDE experiences. To me ;)

I‘ve had jacuzzis ( w /swimming pools ) @ 3 different homes, 2d was off the master, first & current are far from the master bedroom, really makes no difference to me , but I do prefer no roof overhead. Since all of mine were attached to the swimming pools no roof of course.

Since this is all new why not plan a door to get there.. I loved our last hot tub it was uncovered , in a deck next to the entry door leading upstairs to the master. We used it 10x more in the winter and used to float a glass of brandy in the hot water to warm it and lay back and watch the stars with snow falling that made it perfect . Just really think about how you will use it . We had very few hot tub parties maybe one other couple . In the summer I turned the heat off and our grand kids used it like a small pool that was our choice .

Like the idea but that wall on right is from MBR and turns into a large sitting bump out wall if that makes sense. TV is also immediately right of sliders and visible from outdoor kitchen too. Turn 90 degrees left (from sliding glass doors) and there is a regular door from breakfast area. Contemplating now putting off left side of patio/outdoor kitchen. There’s plenty of walking space on that side. Near neighbors shed but not their house so could conceal with privacy options perhaps?
