I need a little more info. I have very often replced this type of closet with Ikea Pax units to get a much better useable area. What is it you don't like ? They are a pain to use usually but painted like the walls is a good way to make them less obvious Is this in a bedroom ? Context is always good .

You dislike it because? How wide is the opening? It looks like your track is only on two levels rather than three which makes it really hard to access the space without doing a lot of door shuffling. A bit more info so people can give you some good suggestions.

If you just dislike the look as you say, consider getting some trim moulding and frame them off to give them more appeal. Then paint them the same color as the wall.

My kids closets are this kind of door but only two panels and the closet is framed out or trimmed out, not sure what it is called. Each closet has an organizer inside.

This is the best way to have access to the whole width of the closet. Most other kinds of doors require breaking up the space and/or having to keep furniture way away from the closet. It's a functional solution, not a look. I wouldn't try to trim the doors themselves, as there is unlikely to be additional passing space.

You have the room for three swing/hinged doors but it would require framing the outside and inside of the closet. You could have a single hinged door on the left and two hinged doors on the right with a center opening. You would need to rework the inside of the closet to suit your needs and also the new doors.

This used to be two separate closets.

When open it is all just one closet. Easy to access everything with bi-fold doors.. Every inch is used.

I'd put them back as they were as two closets. I see no problem.

We had an issue with closet doors and would have had to spend a fortune to go custom because if the size. we wound up with bifold doors with lspecial bifold barn door hardware.
