I like both of them but as a golden retriever owner would never get the dark one. 😂

A mixed bag for me. The blue looks good with the rug but the lighter looks better against that dark wainscotting (?) I’d consider painting that the wall color & add art in lieu of the clock.

I think the lighter but please get rid of the clock and get some art on the wall. But I lke the blue better with the wall color.Waht room is this ? Waht is dark 1/2 wall behind the sofa? Too much missing infor to really help. I dislike chaise sectionals unless in a space ony used by 2 .

Oh absolutely the blue for me. What a luscious color! I'd paint the wainscotting to coordinate with the sofa, not the other way around.

Not loving the rug with the wood dark wood (applied?) wainscoting...too many lines going in the same direction.

So, I imagine wainscoting gone for a lot of reasons, but mainly because it looks like an add-on with no thought to the recessed paneled cabinets. Then wall all one color and, if the sectional works/fits (show more photos of that wall), I definitely would chose the cobalt blue.

What about olive?

Do you own that rug? Does it have any green in it? Green is one of my favorite colors but if you own the rug, in the pictures the blue seems to blend better. Agree on replacing the clock with art.

Pictures of the whole room will definitely influence opinions on this dilemma…but the wood/panel definitely distracts the eye and breaks up the “flow” of the room..as is…..

You seem to have some green in the rug, I like the muted Olive tone in the room, it goiunds the space and gives depth. Use colours from the rug for the accent pillows.

How about this? Don't buy a CHAISE sectional at all! This is the most limiting piece of furniture you can buy. It narrows selection of a coffee table to the size of a postage stamp. A move to a different location rarely ever works, You can accomplish the SAME thing with the versatility advantage of a separate matching ottoman.

Show the whole space,all angles. Don't buy that: )

I agree with Jan Moyer on her comment about chaise sectional. I guess I got stuck on the colour and just went with that on my previous mock-up but you'd be making a better choice going with a sofa and armchair.

I don't understand why you have such a dark wood wainscotting behind the sofa when the other side of the window is all one colour. Seeing the entire room would help for more accurate suggestions.

If you look closely, you can see the dark wainscotting on the other side but there are cabinets in front of it.

Before deciding, consider what will work better with the rug and adjoining spaces. I don’t feel the greyish beige or the olive suit the rug and are just ok, while the deep blue will pop and add some personality. Also, have an overall look in mind before you start adding accessories.

I like the blue with the carpet and I really like the carpet. Very unique. Maybe a blue-grey sofa? I too am getting stuck on the dark brown beadboard and wondering why is that there, esp with the white cabinetry and white trim adjacent. I extensively considered also whether to get a chaise sofa. It is simply too awkward for visitors and if you wanted a place to stretch out, I recommend a sectional. You can find very small sectionals for example from room and board where ours is from.

Maybe this is an apartment and the wainscotting has to stay as is. You can see it continues behind the cabinet. OP hasn't responded as of yet.

You're showing one wall, one couch, one rug....and not the best way to get advice that is really relevant.

That's a nice bench with storage are you sure you don't want to rearrange the room so you could use that area for gas to sit on or is that where you like put your purse and your what you need to take with you to go to work or school?

The blue is more dramatic but it will show every bit of lint and pet hair if you happen to have a pet so you may want to go functional. They both look fine.
