I have a mid-century modern home built in 1960. I have cherry paneling on a lot of my walls and a redwood exposed beam ceiling throughout the house. Currently my kitchen cabinets are a dark birch. I am going to remodel my kitchen and was wondering if I should keep to a wood cabinet or go with a lighter colored composite cabinet. My initial thought was to go with a lighter colored wood cabinet but I'm concerned about having too many types of wood in my house.
