Color paint help for main living space

House is painted a very stark white. It has modern feel but the plan is to soften that a little bit with more of a coastal cottage. Feel the space does open up to the kitchen dining area so I need one neutral color to offset the super white. Floors are shown in photo, decorated photo is vibe going for. Light fixtures will be replaced with more natural fibers, but that is all that will be changed other than paint

I think the Royal Blue that was used in the MLS photos make the white even whiter in appearance.

Your countertops, backsplash & fireplace marble has very white background color. If this is a new home for you, I'd suggest you live in the space for 6 months before you make a decision.. Accessories and art will soften the appearance.

See how the appearance changes when the Royal Blue is changed to a teal aqua color.

The problem is that whites don't play well with other whites. The marble is a cool white and warmer whites will pull more yellow and may appear too yellows.

Here you can see how the whites in the marble backsplash are cool and the cabinets are warm. Someone put them together, but I would not. Especially with the greige countertops.

I have seen cream and white kitchens done by incredibly talented designers that work, but it is a true artist that can make cream and whites work together and get that perfect balance.

This blog posts has some cream cabinets with white counters that I like: https://neutralhomedesign.com/cream-kitchen-cabinets/

Do you know what color lights you have in the home? 3500k, 4000k, 5000k?

Changing lights to a lower kelvin may make the home appear less stark, throwing a bit of yellow onto all the surfaces.

I lived in a home with white on white with just pops of color. It was striking and I got a lot of complements, but I needed more color in my life.

You may consider a light neutral color with the cool white marble. These all have taupe undertones that sometimes just work with marble and would complement the taupe tones in your flooring. You will need to play with them and see which go too gray or too pink or too yellow or too green with the flooring and the marble, but there is that perfect shade that just fits.
