Door knob metal mistake

last modified: 6 months ago

We are building. our intention was always to have brushed or satin nickel finishes for cabinet hardware, light fixtures, plumbing etc. When going through the house yesterday we noticed that the door knobs on the white interior doors werent quite right snd found out they are antique brass. I remember wanting antique brass for the exterior doors since the house has a more rustic exterior. i think when signing the contract we didn’t notice that it listed all interior doors with antique brass. It is clearly our error for not noticing. We plan to discuss with the builder on Monday if there is an inexpensive remedy. How difficult would it be to change the door knobs/hinges? Would just thd knob change not the hinges look ok? Would keeping antique brass on white doors look ok? Our cabinets are a warm wood medium color. There are both warm/cool elements in the home.
