After my ’sad’ story in my last post, I had a sit down talk with myself. Result was I got out my binder of possibilites, went through, tossed a few, then saw this one called Off Track by Cluck Cluck Sews. It looks easy enough to mimic, so I pulled lots of strips from the 2 1/2” bin. They did not have to match perfectly as long as they didn’t fight.

Now in the pattern, the centre strips were all scraps. So I wondered what it would look like if it was a constant fabric, like a woven ribbon. This is what I did. And it helped get rid of an older striped fabric I had waiting for a place to be used. Top only.

I do tend to get long winded in my posts, but remember I am an old lady and the cats don’t quilt.

I will add a sashing strip to the top and bottom to balance it out.
