I not too sure about this company. Not in the USA. They have a lot of roses that are strictly J&P only. So that tells me right away to back off.

They sound fishy to me. Both the loony price, and I'm pretty sure DEO is a J&P exclusive. For $9, you probably get some "rose" seeds to plant--you know DEO rose seeds. Diane

So, this is a company located in China. They state this fact on their web site. Quote: "We ship seeds via Express Mail Service of Chinese Post Office."

So, ask yourself: how is it possible that bare root roses are being shipped to the USA from China and follow USDA import regulations? There is absolutely no mention of Phytosanitary protocols being observed. In fact, there is precious little information about who they are and how they do what they do. I take that as deliberate obfuscation. Remember, if you receive illegal plant material, you are the importer of record and can be fined or have plants destroyed. Roses imported from China MUST be accompanied by the proper Phytosanitary documentation or it is an illegal transaction.

One possible (likely) scenario is that they are simply buying product from American suppliers and having them drop-ship to US customers, all happening within the USA. They say that when buying roses from them, add an additional 35 days for delivery, so.... Who knows what is actually happening here.

Also worth noting is that they felt it necessary to include a DMCA Statement page, suggesting that they may have "inadvertently" used intellectual property on their web site that they do not have permission to use. "As for description and pictures of different species on the web, we cited mostly from Wikipedia.com, as well as some other database, which might not be stated one by one. Here we present our sincere gratitude to informative database like Wikipedia." I wonder what "some other database" really means. Basically they are admitting to using copyrighted material from other sites and will observe DMNCA rules and remove things if they get caught.

There is absolutely no meaningful motivating reason to buy roses from this company when the varieties they list can be found here in the US from legit suppliers. If prices look too good to be true, then they probably are.

My rating: AVOID!

No, I was searching for someone other than Jackson & Perkins who is selling Double Easy Orange....you know my quest....and came across, 'plantsroses.com'. I saw all the red typical red flags which were in full furl, and Paul so brilliantly exposed the truth just above in this post, but was just searching the web, hoping someone legitimate had the rose available for less $.

You know, $49.95 plus tax and shipping comes to about $70.00, and that's for a 2 quart roselet*, probably having 3, 10" pipe cleaner stems!
