for me h&#* froze over last week!!!..the "decorated" passport is hilarious..

here's an example of my simple taste..of all of Saija's great hostas Phantom is my favorite..

my P's..the worst one..Praying Hands..I don't expect to see it in 2026..the 2 tiny bits above the stone..

    Pearl Lake..

    Pineapple Upside Down Cake..April 4

August 4 a few years ago..

Plantaginea..I was focusing on the bloom..

Paul's Glory..I have tags but couldn't find pics..I bet Patriot is growing here somewhere..it's probably one of the ones that came with my house..I came back to add this cropped photo..the one by the hydrangea could be? Paul's Glory..Pineapple Upside Down Cake is on the left at the top of the line..

    Pilgrim

Pocket Full of Sunshine - About to pot this one to see if it does better.

Praying Hands - Also a difficult one.

    Patriot

Peacock Strut - Not showing off its purple/red legs.

    Paradise Sunshine

    Plantaginea

old_dirt..I like Peacock Strut..I looked and saw the stems after you mentioned it..I like your frog and turtle sculptures..

Paula 28 is cold for you!

Saija beauties all but I agree with Ann, Phantom is the one that caught my eye.

Ann very nice Pearl Lake! I would say that is PG.

old_dirt I really like Peacock Strut & Paradise Sunshine.

    Pieter PBE looks good!

Ben Prairie Sky is very attractive.

    Paisley Border

Party Popper really needs to be rescued.

Party Streamers did not bloom this year. So hot & dry.

    Pathfinder

Patriot from a couple of years ago.

    Paul's Glory

Powder Blue. Debra this one is possibly the bluest.

Powder Keg. This pic is from a couple of years ago. If I would water it might not keep me busy twisting out reversions.

    Praying Hands

    Puddles and Bumps

    Houzz is being funky.

Pathfinder. It went missing and I know it was in the first post.

    Laurie..thanks!.I like Pearl Lake too..

I have 3 to track down and photograph this summer!..Patriot..Paul's Glory..Montana Aureomarginata..

is that a blue jay on the top left in the Puddles and Bumps photo?..

your Praying Hands equals about 100 of mine!..

    That passport!

Laurie, Powder Blue looks to be the perfect name for that one. How do you water? I don't see spots from any overhead watering.

    Pewterware

Pin-Up has been slow, but it could be planted a little deep. A Tiarella sprung up next to it.

Ann at least now you know Paul's Glory is by the Hydrangea so you just need to get a photo. One down so two to go! Hmmm I am not seeing a Blue Jay. If your Praying Hands comes back pot it and give it as much sun as you can in your woodland garden. It needs sun to bulk up.

Lisa Pewterware & Pin-Up are lovely! Ha you don't see water spots because I do not water at all. I am on a well and though it has never run dry I just can't take the chance. I do have moisture retentive soil especially on the shady side but the majority of my garden is sunny and it has suffered in the heat & drought of the last three years. Nothing has died but the flowering period has been shorter than normal for many plants.

We've been from the 20's to single digits for about two weeks with no end in sight. Unusual for NJ.

Laurie..I enlarged your photo..I thought it was a bird but is the gray thing in the corner a stone?..kind of looks like a bird with it's head turned..

if Praying Hands doesn't come up I won't be that sad..it gave me nothing but stress!..

Laurie, nature’s irrigation would be the best! I’ve never experienced that living out west all my life. Your Praying Hands is amazing. That’s such a hard one to get to size up for a lot of us.

mbug, I like the shine on Pandora and the color and texture of your Paradise Glory.

saija, I really like your Piper Cup/ Cub? I’ve always been fond of blues, but I’m liking the yellows more and more in the garden lately.

old_dirt, Peacock Strut has a nice form and the red legs do stand out.

Try to stay warm everyone who's in the path of this cold front. Meanwhile, we're above average in temperature and too dry.

Saija, so many Ps! Your Paradise Joyce looks so different than than mine

Didn’t mean to send that……nice Paul’s Glory and Pearl Lake is a beauty. Piper Cup is so bright!

Ann, I see Praying Hands is a tough one to grow……. Mine did fine and then started going south so I potted it. Your Pearl

Lake is so big! Does your Pineapple UD get very yellow? Plantaginea has an awesome flower…..

Old_dirt, great Pilgrim! I had PFOS but every year it got nematodes so I tossed it! Peacock Strut is a beautiful one!

Pieter, that Pacific Blue Edger, has a love blue/green color. My Paradigm gets very light on the side that gets more sun. So many Pearl Lakes, one I have never heard of. The Princess is pretty.

Ben, nice Prairie Sky….So different from mine which only gets early morning sun.

Laurie, you get the award for the biggest Praying Hands of all! I love Paisley Border, such curvy leaves! Thanks for
Posting Powder…..It’s gorgeous! Can it take sun? Probably not 🙁 Powder Keg is awesome!
Sandyslopes, the color on Pewterware is so blue, lovely.

Mike, it seems there was a mixup with your post……Pandora’s Box didn’t post and what you have labeled as Paradigm
Isn’t. Paul’s Glory is lovely. And are those two pictures of Pizzazz? You have a great Paradise collection! 👍🏽

    nice P hostas!..I especially love everyone's blues..

debra..thanks!..a pic of PUDC April 28 2025..I didn't post it in my first comment because the pic is so bright..my trees weren't leafed out and it was sunny..my PUDC does have some yellow early in the season but it doesn't last..

Wonderful P Hosta's everyone. I have been travelling again and tried posting with my phone.... too painful so I will catch up now. BTW our passports would look like that if our grandkids got a hold of them. We visited Texas, cold and icy there too, but not as bad as Michigan.

    Paradigm - in afternoon sun

    Patriot

    Paul's Glory

    Peppermint Twist

    Picasso

    Pineapple Upsidedown Cake

    Pizzazz

Plantaginea - The deer especially like this one.

Prairie Moon I moved it to a location with more light and it is doing better

    Prairie Sky

Praying Hands - I struggle with this one too. Peren your's is gorgeous any suggestions on how to grow this one?

Beth, as usual you have such beauties! Absolutely love your Paul’s Glory, it’s so huge! Mine’s tiny….☹️

mbug (Mike?) all are fabulous. I too was particularly taken with Pandora. Another lovely Pizzaz & the one under it is super attractive.

Ann yes it is a large stone. It is a good thing I have real appreciation because I sure have a lot of them! Your PUDC is very bright in spring.

Debra you have many great ones but Parisian Silk, Prairie Sky & Pandora's Box are standouts. Your Praying Hands is doing really well in a pot. Actually Powder Blue gets sun all day here. Since you are in a warmer zone I would give it a bit of shade.

Beth so many beauties but I really like Peppermint Twist & Prairie Moon. Praying Hands needs sun to bulk up and it looks like yours is getting a fair bit. Depending on how long you have had it, it looks like it is ready to leap,

debra, I’d be very happy with your potted Praying Hands! A lot of your Ps are looking good. Large Paradigm. Robust Paradise Joyce and Prairie Sky. Parisian Silk was slow for me, too, but a pretty one.

Beth, what a beautiful combination you have with your Prairie Moon!

Debra , I find Paul's Glory takes a long time to get going, but when it does it is almost indestructable. It is one I can put in areas which other hostas won't grow.
