Wood ceiling ideas?

I am trying to replicate this look in my new build home. I'm wondering if we could possibly use the same engineered hardwood I'm using on my floors on the ceiling just to give a cohesive look and stain beams to match, but I'm open to what makes the most sense from a cost and build standpoint. Anyone have any idea what this particular ceiling might be? It has such smooth grain pattern and consisent length planks. Builder budgeted red oak and that's not going to work.

Having the same material on the floor and ceiling could raise issues if any of your guests drink too much.

Yes you can use engineered wood or interlocking laminate flooring on the ceiling or walls.

It looks terrible to have all those seams on the ceiling. Your inspiration at least tries to fake that it’s structural, and not bad wallpaper. In fact, you might as well use wallpaper, and save the expense of wood.

European Oak engineered planks is what you can use on the floor and ceiling. Prime and rustic are two grades. Look at Monarch Plank for different widths and thicknesses. You don't need 6mm top layer on the ceiling. Hurst Hardwoods has deals at times.
