Wanting help with tile ideas

Hi there. We are looking to put tiles on the kitchen walls behind the counter tops. The wall paint is yellow with a light (fake) wood worktop and cream cabinets. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Tile stores like Floor and Decor will let you bring sample warm white subway tiles home to see in your space. Look at some choices and post closeup pictures for feedback.

What are the colors/design styles in the adjoining spaces?

I'd like a blue tile w that . Maybe clue us in..do you want a little MORE interest.....or stay very subdued? tile backsplashes can be very interesting and reflect personal aesthetics or just blend in and not achieve anything visually.

    1. matching "bisque" cabs and tile or 2. a patterned tile .....then various blue options...

Are you in the UK or Australia? Tile availability depends on where you are.

Do you want to continue with the "neutral" look OR would you like to add some color to the space? "Color" doesn't have to = BOLD - you could use a muted color in there.

Do you want the room to be traditional OR would you like something more contemporary? What does the rest of your home look like? Is it modern/contemporary/traditional/transitional/etc?

If you'd like to use a tile that would blend in with your cabinets/wood countertop, you could use Bedrosian Cloe tile in Creme. It has several shades of color which makes it more interesting than a solid cream subway tile. It is rated V4 in variation = the highest variation rating.

The Cloe White tile was EVERYWHERE a few years ago (it still is popular) - there are a few different long threads here on Houzz about Cloe tile - especially white. The green color has been popular also + now that things have "warmed" up a bit re: colors for your home, the creme color has become popular.

    The tile comes in a 2.5 x 8 inch size + a 5" square tile.

If you'd like to do a color, a sage or moss would be pretty.

The photo below shows an example with warm white cabinets + butcher block wood countertops:

The cabinets in the below photo are bright white - however, this tile with multiple shades of green would look nice with warm white cabinets + a wood toned countertop also:

There are so many beautiful tiles out there - however, we need some direction from you in order to suggest ideas. Do you want a rectangular or square tile - or would you like a more unique shape?

There are many tiles that have a 3D face (raised design/details) instead of a more flat tile. There are a lot of different shapes/materials to choose from for your backsplash. Plus, there are MANY pretty colors that would work with your cabinets/floor/countertop combination.

Please let us know how you'd like the space to feel/look like when finished. If you provide some photos of other rooms in your home (in order for us to see what your design style is) + post some inspiration photos that show tiles that you like, we'd be able to be more helpful.

I'm liking the micro over the sink location. How is that working?
