Oh man, rabbits again!!

🐇🐇

A priest, a minister, and a rabbit walk into a blood bank. The priest says, "I'm a Type A", the minister says, "I'm a Type B" and the rabbit says, "I'm a typo."

Tomorrow is the 1st of the month and if the first words out of your mouth are "rabbit rabbit" you'll have good luck all month. Anytime after midnight is fine and no need to say it to anyone.

Best of luck to all!

Very funny, Annie. I hope January takes all the snow and ice with it. Seems unlikely, though. Poor rabbits must be freezing their little cottontails off.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm still wondering how January managed to go by so quickly when it is notorious as the very longest month of the year.

Woke up at 11:42 and waited til

12:05 and said it. When I go back upstairs I will say it loudly and DH always repeats in his sleep .

    Thanks for the reminder.

    LOL at the typo!

Man oh man went to Fargo this week. The highway of bunny poop in my son's side yard was INSANE.

  • last month

I woke up after midnight and said it, woke up again after 2 and said it again, and just said it to DH as he got up. Good to go...short month though. I hope it's short on winter weather!

    I actually did it🐰

Got it this morning! And said it about 8 times just to be sure.......I'm hoping it warms up enough to soften the top layer of ice/snow so that I can get to the rest of my bird feeders.

DH and I can fill the ones next to the patio but the others are further away. Even picked up a new hopper feeder with squirrel baffles for dried mealworms, sunflower hearts and suet pellets for the robins that over winter. They've been coming to my regular feeders so I know they're hungry.

We've managed to get our feeders squirrel proof, but now we have a pair of geese who park themselves under the feeders, scarf down all the feed, poop all over, and while they're there, none of the birds will come to feed. So frustrating!

Luckily I don't have to worry about geese but we now have 5 blue jays that appear to live here full time and they can be aggressive to the smaller birds.

Annie - what seems to have worked best for you in squirrel proofing? The Brome Squirrel Buster suet feeders are fantastic - all metal and weight activated . We also have their Squirrel Buster tube feeders which seem to work nearly as well plus we added a raccoon baffle.

We have a "barn" with a spring-loaded perch and a baffle. We also have the spring-loaded suet cage and DH made a special bracket to the right dimensions so the squirrels can't reach it from the ground or the overhead bracket.

I woke up in the middle of the night and remembered to say it.

I took advantage of the freakishly cold weather and knee high snow and have finally caught up with year end filing and starting a new year folder. This dog keeps me from getting my very dull paperwork under control. :)
