last modified: 9 days ago

Let’s see your I daylilies, I only have a few.

Funny for today: Life is what happens when while you are making other plans.

Ice Carnival, it stays because it is a later bloomer. I hope Brad has a better photo.

Itty Bitty Gal is a mini daylily.

Itza Pink Teddy has been a reliable and good performer here. It didnt have a great season, the weather again.

I like Itza Pink Teddy. The color is a nice shade of pink.......Your saying is sooo true. Especially for we gardeners who have all these plant plans and then "life" interferes.........

I'll post Itty Bitty Kitty. This bloomed so long last year and with such consistent form that I barely paid attention as the months stretched on. The only thing that modified was the color which became more maroon when the heat picked up:

    Itty Bitty Kitty:

I like Itza Pink Teddy and Itty Bitty Kitty!

In High Regard, a tall beauty! Still relatively new and getting up to speed.

    Impetuosity, mediocre bloomer.

Impetuous Fire, good bloomer. About one bloom a year has a petal or 2 in the middle.

    Indian Giver, a favorite.

Ice Carnival. Ditto what Sherry said: It stays because it is a late bloomer. But since I now have some white seedlings that are late, its position here is tenuous as I may need the space.

Sherry - I always like photos of Itza Pink Teddy!

Brad - The color on In High Regard is wonderful!

Maryl - It sounds like Itty Bitty Kitty was a real trouper.

    My only I's are seedlings:

I Remember You X Kindred Jewel - This one did very well in Nashville with 15-18 buds per scape. Here last year bud counts were five and below. I don't know if it can take Indiana winters.

(Insider Trading X The Ultimate Sacrifice) X (Red Edition X The Ultimate Sac.) - This one performed as well in Indy as in Nashville, with bud counts of 13 in both cities and strong rebloom.

My favorites today are Ice Carnival and Itty Bitty Kitty. Debra, I love the watermark on your second seedling.

    I don't have many I's.

Idiot Savant was really nice last summer.

Imhotep is new to the garden. It's a strong grower with tall scapes.

I debated about showing this one. The petals are pretty, but the sepals are horrible. Isla Morada is a southern one that will probably leave the garden soon.

It Stops at Garage Sales is one of Bret Clement's intros. He is in Indianapolis area and he produces daylilies that are super in our garden.

    That's all for me.

Nancy - Idiot Savant looks good in your garden! I love the watermark on the second seedling too! White, chalky watermarks are my favorite.

Sherry: Itza Pink Teddy is really attractive.

Brad: In High Regard is gorgeous

Debra: I also really like (Insider Trading X The Ultimate Sacrifice) X (Red Edition X The Ultimate Sac.)

    Here are my contributions:

Isabelle Rose: Always a good performer.

In High Regard: Depending on the lighting, it can look more pink than lavender/orchid. Still a gorgeous bloom.

IMAGINE HEAVEN: I am liking this one more and more.

IRON WARRIOR: A Bennett intro. The blooms are quite large.

It's Miller Time: Too new to evaluate. It was a gift.

It's the Rage: It is growing on me.

INDY SHOCKER: Conditions were right to finally get a good picture of this one.

    INCA PUZZLE

This one is from COTTAGE GARDENS and not in my collection.

    IF IT BE YOUR WILL

    That is all from me.

    Have a great day!

David, you have some real beauties. Besides In High Regard, Inca Puzzle is amazing. Imagine Heaven is also a beauty.

Idiot Savant is one that caught my attention. Imagine Heaven is another, though I am always a bit reluctant with Simpsons. Inca Puzzle here was short scaped and low budded, but flowers could be nice.

    Isabelle Rose again looked good.

In the Heart of It All (an older Salter) showed its reliability. Older is better, since newer Salters are much more questionable.

    Impassioned is later blooming.

Ideological Worldview made a nice clump display.

Indian Giver has recovered from division.

Inscribed on My Heart has been an Emmerich recovering from a setback.

This is a 2024 pic of Inca Apothecary. An unusual color, flowers are usually above the foliage.

Impressionist Sky. Didn't get a good pic this year.

mantis: The clump of Isabelle Rose is stunning. I bought it from Ellen and planted in the fall .I think your photos had inspired me to get it. I always like whites in the garden. I grew Inca Apothecary in NYS and it had pretty unusal bloom color but lacked vigor.

David: interesting color your getting on Inca Puzzle. I grew it in NYS. i got it from Petit so I can only assume it was soil.
