Bosch dishwasher upper spray arm not rotating & low water level

Hello,

I've been working on this for a couple of weeks now... This is getting to be a PITA, especially with 4 kids!. Initially thought it was the upper sprayer arm... so i replaced that but it didn't help. I've run 2 sets of dishwasher cleaner through it, didn't fix the issue.

It's a SHX5AVF5UC/22

After that, I realized that the dishwasher didn't have much water in it while it was attempting to wash, so I filled it with about a gallon of water and restarted it and it worked!! I had to do it once during the first cycle (rinse?) and then during the main wash cycle. So that's the workaround!

I've seen some posts indicating that could be a defective fill value? I am hoping this is on the front of the machine so it's easy to get to but if anyone has some thoughts on that I would appreciate any advice.

How about the float? Could that be stuck some how?... it's down, not up so that's probably not the issue :-)
