Chest styling assistance

Need help styling this bathroom chest. I am including an additional photo of the bathroom.

I'd take that wicker tray by the tub and try it on top of the chest. maybe put your perfumes/lotions/a tall vase w/leaves,

Or, a vintage looking bronze mirror, some accessories like these:

shown w/some more decorative hardware. I like either of these w/this entire design

some greenery, a pot in a contrasting shade, a mirror, maybe even hardware for the chest

maybe an arched mirror

or a pewter beveled mirror and accessories

I'd do this for the tub

You need to show all four sides of the bathroom. That's how designers look at a space even if it's only about one element of the room.

Most people prefer having a mirror over the sink. Hang your art elsewhere in the bathroom. (Another reason to have photos of all four sides.)

I'd use the rectangular basket from the bathtub and fill it...

You have a glare on the glass of the framed print, move it to the chest and replace the bath art with something like a canvas so no worries with glare or water splash.

I would put art over it and do a nice orchid arrangement. Not every surface needs to be covered with stuff and "styled".

It depends if you want decorative or practical and be sure to create a nice connection overall.

Decorative:

Not a fan of the basket at tub and try plant in the corner.

Practical (add a mirror to reflect the arrangement and candlelight).

Bath ledge with softer art.

I like the styling suggestions but I wish the chest was ~12” narrower so its corner doesn’t jut into the traffic path.

The more you put on the top of the chest, the more you need to dust. I’d leave it clear.

Seeing more pictures of the bathroom, that would be a big NO for me on the size and placing of the chest. I got a bruise on my hip just looking at the photo! ;-)

I probably would not have this item in the bathroom. It blocks the entrance.

We do not have art above a sink?

As for the blue nordic chest, we did need the storage. I can push the chest over to the left some, out of the entrance, but it is not then symmetrical on the wall.

My purpose for this post was to gather some ideas for the TOP of the chest and I loved Beth’s post of ideas! I do prefer building people up rather than such negativity.

Several have suggested a tray of pretty objects. I agree.

I would try leaning ART on the chest, rather than a mirror, because you have plenty of mirrors at the vanity. I might lean the art on the left and place a tray on the right. I like the art you have hanging over the end of the tub, and it's reflected nicely in your photo (re-shown below.)

Fresh eyes on how we use space isn’t inherently negative. It is perspective. The chest is beautiful the location is not.
