Kitchen hardware - one size fits all?

I have to pick cabinet hardware within a week for my new kitchen cabinets. I have seen the 1/3 rule for sizing hardware. I would like to use all pulls, no knobs. They're easier for me to grab. Can I use the same size pull everywhere to simply my life?

I have 36" tall upper kitchen cabinets. My lower kitchen cabinets have a couple sets of double doors, and the rest are drawers ranging from 20" to 36" wide. I really am not good at trying to pick longer and shorter pulls based on drawer widths and such, and I think if I attempted this the "mix and match" could turn out badly. Would a single size look bad? If I can get away with a single size, do I need to use 2 pulls on the wider drawers? Thank you.

All ours are the same regardless of drawer or cupboard size.

Thank you! I just think it's easier that way. In my existing kitchen all are the same and it looks fine, however I don't have any wide drawers now. It's the drawers (particularly the 36") in the lower cabinets that are throwing me off.

Do what works for you. I have all pulls, all the same size, and zero regrets. Looks fine, and works,!

There is some reluctance from cabinet makers to put two pulls on a single drawer, because using only one of the two to to open the drawer can potentially unbalance the drawer on its glides. we went with two anyway, because it looked more aesthetically pleasing, and after 5 years , not a single issue.

If you decide to proceed that way make sure you layout the pulls in advance of installing them. We see lots of hardware incorrectly placed on cabinet faces.

For my kitchen I used 3 different sizes depending on drawer width.

    Drawer Under 30'" wide = 7-9/16" pull

    drawer under 40" wide = 8-13/16" pull

    drawer over 40" wide = 12" pull

For the kitchen cabinet doors I used knobs.

I also needed pulls for built-ins in my laundry room and mudroom and came up with a different size scheme that looked balanced in those spaces.

No regrets. There is no right or wrong, just personal preference.

BeverlyFLADeziner - I don't think I will be able to do that. The cabinet maker wants me to pick out hardware so they can drill the holes as they're making the cabinets. I'm not sure what you mean that hardware is often incorrectly placed on cabinet faces. Is there something I should ask the cabinet maker to avoid potential issues?

no no… they should drill the holes once the cabinets are in..

you can use one larger one for the 36" drawers ( because using one 7" pull isn't going to look right)

or, use two of the 7" pulls. That's what I did on mine

    and on these

or, do longer ones for all of them

    or, knobs for the uppers

I have pulls on everything because I have arthritis that will only progress as I age. I used 5" pulls since my hand fit best in that size. Here are some pictures of the different styles of cabinets and the same pull on everything. The drawers that were 24" and under have one pull per drawer and over 24" with 2 pulls per drawer. Everything balances quite nicely since the pulls look great vertically and horizontally.

I like the ulls to be in prortion to the cabinet front . Yes it a bit of a pain to do butI like it. No way drill holes before install in fact IMO you don't order the pulls until after install . I use painter tape to figure out the look I want You will find you might need a mix of vertical and horizontal. I find this one of those picky things that just take time to figure out what works for your spac e. I also dind this is dependant of the style of the space sometimes too. This is what I mean by proportional and also a mix of vertical and horizontal and I never do 2 pulls on a drawer.
