I don't see a dishwasher - will you have one, and where will it be? Your sink should be near your dishwasher......If your dishwasher is under the island, then your sink should be there in the island too.

I do not like sinks in the island (I have had them in the island and not in the island, and I much prefer the latter) - that is the layout I would choose (but I would not have a prep sink). And I'd put the dishwasher under the counter beside the sink.

Dishwasher is near the sink by the window. I was thinking trash and recycling near there. and trash and compost near the prep sink area.
