MCM bedroom ideas

Looking for suggestions on how to make this bedroom more mid century modern. I’m thinking the wall behind the bed should be wall papered with maybe a MCM print. I like sage color.

MCM styled furniture, nightstand (s), lamp (s), desk. Check out Wayfair MCM President’s Day sale on now, very rereasonable. You obviously need bed linens , window treatments, larger art, etc, Question: what is that molding (?) textured, @ the ceiling? The plant in the corner needs to go, lol.

Molding will be taken off. Ceiling is smooth, no texture. Thanks for the suggestion on Wayfair.

Your bed is as good start, blank slate. I bought an MCM nightstand and lamp, bed , upholstered bench, on Wayfair a few years ago for a guest room for a second home, I was surprised that the quality was good, sorry I didn’t do the same for another guest room there. I get more compliments on that room than the other one that I spent A LOT more $ on. Just check the reviews.

You will get significantly better value for your money if you buy vintage. Good sources include flea markets, estate sales, vintage stores, and sellers of vintage on 1stDibs, Chairish, Etsy, and eBay. Educate yourself first to distinguish between vintage and reproduction. Unfortunately there are many sellers on Etsy and eBay who label retro reproductions as vintage now. Mind you, there's no shame in buying reproduction! I just think it's good to know exactly what kind of bang you are getting for your buck.

If you haven't done so already, you can research what genuine mid-century homes looked like through vintage magazines, many of which can be viewed online via libraries. There are also good books on the subject, and there used to be some terrific websites/blogs, though I'm not sure how many of those are still kept up. (Some of my favorites stopped updating some years ago.) I can recommend some books, at least—but only if you say you're interested in that. I know I can get carried away.

It would be nice to see the entire room. Can you post pictures of all 4 wall straight on if possible. Would be helpful to see what other pieces of furniture you have and seeing the entire room I'd also be able to see if this is the best wall for the bed.

A well dressed be IS a feature. It is the elephant in the room, in any bedroom, any size bed, and any style. Art is a feature........

I admit a single wall of paper has alway driven me a bit nutty.

    Sage amazing!

You mentioned you loved the vintage MCM examples provided, but wonder if you’ve given thought to an earthy MCM combination as you may find it has a more calming feel.

Suggest painting the back wall slightly darker than sage, choose impactful bedding, lighting and accessories.

T above point, no matter the greens and they can all work together? The point is you don't need wallpaper to make a great room

A cozy room I might add.....

No wallpaper. Get some real MCM night stands and lamps on Facebook Marketplace or one of the other places listed below. No substitute for the real deal. The green paint color you seem to favor looks nice with your headboard.
