I have quite a few NOIDS..but not great photos of them..

here's a simple "dull"(?) green hosta that I love..it's green but not "grass" green..no tag when I bought it..I'm casual (negligent 😂) when it comes to labels..unidentified plants don't stop me from buying..I know I bought and planted every hosta in this skinny border..

it's the one in the center of the photo..it's short.. the leaves aren't big..I don't think it blooms..

I'm not much help at IDing any plants, I have a hard time naming the common ones.

I do have a few NOID's but only two pictures from this year.

This was a throw away from a friend, I think quite old and common.

Could this be a young Blue Ivory?

old_dirt..my house came with lots of green and whites..when I moved them around I tried to plant what seemed identical together..but who knows if I did it right?..

Ann I like your green. I know I scoured every book I have (last year) and that was a lot. I just could not come up with a match. Diana Grenfell books are easier because the are done in chapters by colour and variegation. That pic was taken in spring. Any later pics? How many years have you had it? Rough leaf size?

old-dirt yours are much easier. I believe the first is likely Fortunei Albomarginata. Second is probably Blue Ivory but Firn Line is very similar.

Laurie..because Fire Island is beautiful in the spring my pictures of the green hosta are pretty much spring pics..I'm going out..it's beautiful here today..I'll look tonight for pics..

old_dirt Fortunei Albomarginata leaves would have a much thicker substance than U. Albomarginata. U.A. leaf would have a very shiny leaf back. This will help both you and Ann if either of you recalls these characteristics.

Laurie..this probably won't be helpful..I can't find a summer closeup of my green NOID..it's in this pic (June 2023) behind Fire Island..it could be 7 to 10? years old..the leaves are a little bigger than I thought..

the ones I've called UA for years do have thinner leaves..not sure if the undersides are shiny..

it was 71° in Indianapolis today..I had a great day collecting sticks..

Laurie, old_dirt, I would have thought his first pic was undulata albomarginata because of the ruffled edges. But my fortunei is gone, so I have no pics but the HL to look at.

I can't remember what plain green hosta I planted here. It's probably been 15-20 years, so an older variety. I have tags and I still might come across whatever it is. Maybe a name to look for would jar my memory? It looks like it's spread out some. I know the green ones are hard to ID.

Paula I love the Chihuahua muffin at first glance 1 Chihuahua then more and more.

We have a lot of green and green and white NOID.

Here is a greenish yellow. I had a few different hostas in one pot which was struggling. Andrew and Jewel of the Nile were two of them. This green in the spot I had Andrew but it looks nothing like it. I am wondering if a shoot from Jewel of the Nile reverted and grew in it's place. Grows well and has a thick leaf.

Old_dirt, your first one looks like Undulata Albo-marginata. Seconds one looks like Blue Ivory. The misting is typical.

Beth, I think your guess about your potted one is a good one. Has very tall stalks!
