You have missed out on life if you have not played with one of these as a kid.

Thanks @amystoller I am using the Fantom style on in several other places. My only hesitation is that there is a possibility a floor mat would be there and also, I don't love the little inset on a tile floor where people will walk barefoot. Unless someone surfaces a better solution that I'm missing, I think this one is where I will land

A floor mat would definitely rule out Fantom or Ghostop! FWIW, I often go barefoot at home and have never minded stepping on my Ghostop. But I understand why it might not be for everyone,including you.
