Cheap gas station baths will always exist. Better in gas stations than in residential homes.

My sister built a nice house back in 2003. However, they decided to "save" money by using the acrylic surrounds in their jack & jill tub/shower + in guest bathroom shower. I was surprised by this decision because the rest of the home was so nice (their primary bathroom shower was amazing). The acrylic surrounds just looked "cheap."

For a rental property, it would depend on the type of rental property. If it's a nice property with a higher rent, I would not use acrylic. If it was a more inexpensive property, acrylic might be fine (works the same for apartments). What do comparable rental properties use in bathrooms in your area?

Would not use acrylic for a rental property. We like to make any space feel luxurious even if it is a rental property. Renters deserve to feel like they have a nice space to relax in.

Would not recommend Acrylic for a rental property. Spend a little more, it will pay off in the end.
