The St. Regis is also in Buckhead but is in a more walkable part.

Forth is the the Old Fourth Ward. Intown neighborhood near Ponce City Market which is popular.

If they want to stay downtown the Georgian Terrace is a great location as itnis across the street from the Fox theatre (always something going on there I think HP and the Cursed Child is on now and tours of this historic building are fantastic) and just a few blocks north of the Shakespeare Tavern (home of the atlanta shakespeare company) now doing a run of Romeo and Juliet. Ponce City market is a short Uber or a decent walk, and Buckhead is also a short Uber. The Woodruff performing arts center and the High Museum are about ten blocks north in Midtown.

Adding, The Georgian Terrace is an historic hotel but not luxurious by any means. They have a decent restaurant and many others within easy walking distance. The center for Puppetry Arts is not far either, I don’t get their mailings any more but they often have interesting shows for grownups.

Lol, I have eaten chicken salad at too many bridesmaids’ luncheons to remember at the Swann House but have not been back in decades. They used to have a great gift shop! ..

There are some cute shops on East Paces Ferry and East Andrews Dr in Buckhead. If your girls have your shopping gene i think they would love Boxwood Gardens in particular.

I've only stayed near the convention center/stadium/aquarium area. It's OK, but it would be better if weather were nicer and there was soccer or football at the stadium. I stayed at an Embassy Suites but there's also an Omni there and a super modern Signia Hilton.

Atlantans, is Phipps Plaza still a shopping mecca? I haven’t been there in ages. I just looked and it appears that the nearby Ritz Carlton is now the Whitley?

Yes Bbstx, in addition to Saks and Nordstrom’s there is a good selection of luxury brands at various levels— Hermes, Valentino, Loewe, Tori Burch, etc. The two draws for me are Nordstrom’s and the Alon Bakery 😎
