There’s a lot of cabinetry in the space - do you use it all?

I’d want to remove some and open up the room a bit

do you use the tub? doesnt look like there is shower capability

Consider a cream paint color that blends in with floor, counter, toilet, tile on wall,ceiling trim, and color drench everything in that color.

The wall color is the biggest issue, I agree with oncape’s suggestion Also, when fund$ allow, a new countertop & faucet, you might be able to get a remnent at a stoneyard, & some new art with color ( I love art ).

I would match the wall colour to the tile colour, and choose non-gray art and towels. Blue would complement the brown and beige colours you have.

Select a warmer color for the paint and CHANGE THE TOWELS. Get a color.

Are you updating to sell or for yourselves?

Either way, changing the paint and the towels would be a good update. Once the wall art has been taken down for painting, don't put it back. Just add new towels and a flourishing plant such as a blooming orchid.

I find the cabinets on the sink wall overwhelming, so as la_la_girl said, if you don't use it, get rid of it. Usually cabinets high enough that you can't reach into them without a step stool are of limited usefulness. If they are full of stuff, is it really stuff you need, or could you put it elsewhere if it's infrequently used? If it's not bathroom-related, find another home for it. The tall cabinet seems like it would be much more useful. And as everyone else has said, the wall color is not the best.

I suggest you paint the walls a creamy white. Replace all hardware and faucets with brass. Replae the towels, mat, and art on the wall for something in neutral colours.

The paint color is the culprit. When I want something ” beige” I go with SW Kilim Beige. I often prefer a richer color and choose SW Nomadic Desert.
