I made Sunbrella Slipcovers for a Zero-Turn Mower seat!

last modified: 2 months ago

I made a pattern out of newspaper(the local newspaper is still in print) using the seam lines off the original mower seat....top stiched in orange thread. I ordered the Sunbrella fabric from Fabric Guru a dot com...all remnants...super cheap. I have about $20 in materials and enough fabric left over to make another one. Note: Fabricguru.com has FREE shipping weekends.

I hand embroidered the Bobcat Symbol on the back of the seat. The bottom velcros off/on.

I used a Bernina sewing machine to sew through multiple layers of fabric.

Top stitched in Orange thread.

It's got loops sewn on the edge of the bottom seat cover with heavy string to hold it on.

I'm not sure how long it will last...but since I have the pattern already made...making another will go much faster than the 1st one. :0) Should save us from buying a new seat!

Just to compare prices, online this same seat cover was $379!
