Washer and Dryer recommendations

Family of 7 here and need some recommendations on a washer and dryer. We have lots of room as they will be outside under our covered patio and gas and electric is available.

Have a larger family and regularly do linens and blankets so need something to support a larger load. I work a blue collar job but the kiddos are into sports and have some really dirty clothes so a machines that can support both those types of clothes would be great. Really want a machine that will clean our clothes as we’ve have issues with washers not always leaving out cloths totally clean.

Appreciate the suggestions.

The large LG WM8980HVA earned a recommended rating from CR. Its matching dryer is the LG DLEX8900B. The Installation Guide says,

"Store and install the appliance where it will not be exposed to temperatures below freezing or exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Failure to follow this warning can cause product or part failure, serious injury, fire, electric shock, or death."

The Electrolux ELFW7637AW also earned a CR recommended rating and owners like it though it's a bit smaller. I don't see a warning against installing outdoors but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Get an LG front load washer and dryer pair.

LG make great and well respected front load washers and dryers. Which individual model you get will depend on what features you want or not.

We just have two people and while working construction... going to the gym ....towels, sheets..... I couldn't keep up. I purchased the largest Samsung front load washer and dryer they had in stock. A 7.4 washer and a 9 dryer. I can wash 6 -8 pairs of blue jeans....no problem! I've now had them for about 12 years...no service issues either. I paid $900 each, half off sale....

edited to say: I own rentals, ALL have washers + dryers...but they're not over sized. LG is good/top load, Samsung/top load, GE/top load.....if you want BIG...get the Front load Samsung...oversized model!
